Box Score SALT LAKE CITY, Ut., -- The Loyola Marymount women's tennis team (7-7, 2-3 WCC) fell to No. 46 Utah during its first match of the week on Thursday, as the team put up a fight, but fell 4-3. 
 
Starting the day off in doubles play, Siobhan Anderson and Lillian Gabrielson fell to Whitney Hekking and Leah Heimuli on court two 6-2, while the No. 65 doubles tandem of Veronika Miroshnichnko and Eva Marie Voracek fell to Brianna Chisholm and Madison Tattini on court one 6-4. 
 
Down 1-0, the Lions responded in singles play, but it wasn't enough to win the match. Camila Tumosa fell to Heimuli on court six 6-0, 6-4. Anderson put the first point on the board after bearing Emily Dush on court two 6-4, 6-3. 
 
Miroshnichenko tied things up after beating Brianna Chisholm on court one 6=2, 6-4, while Elvira Juravliova gave the Lions the lead after beating Lindsay Hung on court four 6-3, 6-3. 
 
The Utes tied things back up after Voracek fell to Tattini on court two 7-6, 6-4. Tied up at 3-3, Yesica De Lucas put up a fight on court five, as she pushed Hekking to three sets, but couldn't keep up the pace, as she fell 5-7, 6-0, 7-6, giving Utah the win. 
 
The Lions will be back in action on Friday to take on BYU in Provo, Ut. at 1:00 p.m.
