Lions Split on Second Conference Road Trip

Box Score STOCKTON, Calif., -- The Loyola Marymount women's tennis team (6-4, 1-2) split on its road trip up north, as the Lions fell to Saint Mary's 4-2, and defeated Pacific 4-1. 
 
The Lions started the weekend off against the Gaels, where they battled, but weren't able to come back with the win. 
 
Elvira Juravliova and Camila Tumosa beat Jordan Harris and Dannielle McIntyre on court three 6-2. The Gaels evened things out after Clementine Clement and Chloe Goyette beat the tandem of Lillian Gabrielsen and Siobhan Anderson on court two 6-3. Eva Marie Voracek and Veronica Miroshnichenko fell to Hind Abdelouahid and Mariia Kozyreva on court one, 6-3, clinching the double point for SMC. 
 
Down 1-0, Voracek was defeated by Goyette on court two 6-1, 6-0, while Miroshnichenko was beat by Kozyreva on court one 6-2, 6-0. 
 
Juravliova put the first point on the board for the Lions after beating Abdelouahid on court four 6-3, 6-4, while Anderson beat Clemet after pushing her to three sets on court three, 3-6, 6-2, 6-1. 
 
Down 3-2, Yessica De Lucas pushed Lisel Pieters to three sets, but couldn't hold on, as she fell 6-3, 0-6, 6-3. 
 
The Lions found their momentum in their second match of the weekend, as they picked up an easy 4-1 win over Pacific. 
 
The doubles pair of Voracek and Miroshnichenko beat Dohee Lee and Maya Lopez on court one 6-1. Anderson and Gabrielson fell to Anneroos Nederstigt and Jacquie Tan on court two 6-2, while Juravliova and Tumosa were defeated 6-1 on court three, giving Pacific the doubles point. 
 
Down 1-0, the Lions turned things around, as Miroshnichenko beat Nederstigt on court one 6-4, 6-2 to tie things up. 
 
Anderson beat Vyrlan on court three 6-2, 6-4, while Juravliova beat Tan on court for 6-2, 6-2, giving the Lions a 3-1 lead. 
 
Tumosa battled in her first set against Vinolas and came out with a 7-6, 6-3 win, clinching the match for the Lions.
