LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- The Loyola Marymount women's tennis pair of Veronica Miroshnichenko and Eva Marie Voracek were named the West Coast Conference Doubles Team of the Week, announced by the conference on Tuesday. 
 
The double's tandem honor is LMU's first WCC weekly award this season. The duo earned the honor after going 2-0 on the week, which includes a 6-0 win over their opponents from Cincinnati and a 7-5 win over Pepperdine's No. 15 doubles tandem of Jessica Failla and Anastasia Iamachkine. 
 
Miroshnichenko and Voracek's win over Pepperdine is the duos highest ranked win this season. The pair is 6-2 on the season from the No. 1 position.  Their win led the Lions to a 4-0 sweep over Cincinnati. 
 
Miroshnichenko, Voracek and the rest of the Lion squad will be back in action this weekend, as the team will head up north to take on Saint Mary's on Friday and Pacific on Saturday.
