On a clear sunny day with calm wind and a slight outgoing tide on the water in Marina Del Rey on Saturday, LMU rowing captured one victory over UCLA claiming the second Varsity 4. LMU also entered boats in the Varsity 8, second Varsity 8 and Varsity 4.
 
The Lions won the 2V4 with a time of 7:36.5, besting UCLA's time of 7:45.5. LMU's time in the V8 of 6:34.44 was edged by UCLA's 6:13.48. In the 2V8 the Lions posted a time of 6:42.8 falling just short of UCLA's 6:32.7. In the V4 LMU posted a time of 7:28.3, behind UCLA's 7:19.3.
 
The Lions will now prepare for races on March 24 against Washington State, Gonzaga, Oregon State and Seattle Pacific in Pullman, Washington. The racing is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.
