LOS ANGELES -- Following a 67-61 victory over the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos on Monday night, the Loyola Marymount women's basketball team (8-2) travels to Dallas, Texas to take on SMU (4-6) in a Wednesday matinee. The game tips off at 11 a.m. PT, which will be a 1 p.m. start in Dallas.

The Lions are 8-2 on the season with a 5-2 record at home and a 3-0 mark on the road. SMU is 3-1 at home and 0-5 in road contests. The last time LMU and SMU squared off was on Nov. 13, 2009 at SMU in which the Mustangs defeated the Lions 78-58.
Junior Cheyanne Wallace is averaging a team-high 17.6 points per game. Wallace recorded her third double-double of the season in the Lions' win over UCSB on Monday night, tallying 16 points and 11 boards. Mckenzie Adams is the Mustangs' leading scorer in 2017-18 with an average of 19.0 points per game.
This matchup marks the team's final game before conference play begins. The Lions' first WCC matchup will occur at home on Thursday, Dec. 28 when LMU hosts the Saint Mary's Gaels at 7 p.m.
