The West Coast Conference unveiled its 2016 broadcast schedule for volleyball, and the Lions are scheduled to host a pair of ESPN televised matches. This year's upcoming WCC season features the most comprehensive slate of matches on traditional and digital spaces to date.
As part of the West Coast Conference's agreement with ESPN, two key regular season volleyball matches will appear on ESPNU and WatchESPN. NCAA Sweet-16 participant Loyola Marymount will host a pair of matches at Gersten Pavilion. The Lions welcome perennial power San Diego Tuesday, September 27 at 7:00 p.m., while defending WCC Champion and NCAA Sweet-16 participant BYU plays at LMU Tuesday, November 22 at 8:00 p.m.
During the 2016 season, more than 130 West Coast Conference volleyball matches will be aired live and free of charge on TheW.tv. Virtually every league match will feature a broadcast on TheW.tv, BYUtv or the ESPN Networks. During non-conference play, WCC programs will make five appearances on Pac-12 Networks.
BYUtv will also produce nine BYU volleyball home contests live from the South Gym in Provo, Utah to a worldwide audience via BYUtvsports.com. Four games broadcast by BYUtv will be West Coast Conference matches, while the remainder of the home conference slate for the Cougars will be carried on TheW.tv.
