Playing on the road at Portland, the LMU women's tennis team (7-10, 2-3 WCC) suffered a sweep on Saturday afternoon, falling 4-0 to the Pilots from the Lousiana-Pacific Tennis Center.

Portland claimed the doubles point by way of wins at the top two courts. LMU's lone victory came on court three where Anna Romeka and Tatijana Sheikhan topped Maja Mladenovic and Emily Gould, 6-4, to turn the attention to court one, but Portland's Lucia Butkovska and Tori Troesch won the final three games to claim a 7-5 victory.

Portland quickly captured its second point when Kristine Kouyoumjian was forced to retire after falling behind 3-0.

Court three was next to finish, as Mladenovic defeated Crespo, 6-3, 6-2, to push Portland within a point of victory. The final point came on the top court as Butkovska took down Jessica Perez, 6-2, 6-4.

Elvira Juravliova, playing at #4 singles, led in her match, 6-4, 3-2, but the match went unfinished once Perez fell on court one.

LMU will return to action on Friday when it hosts San Diego at 1:30 p.m. from the LMU Tennis Center.
