The LMU women's tennis team (5-7) defeated visiting Cal Poly (2-8), 6-1, on Thursday from the LMU Tennis Center. LMU's lone loss came in a tiebreaker on court six.

Anna Romeka and Tatijana Sheikhan shut out the opposition on court three of doubles, posting a 6-0 win over Bryn Bacharach and Celine Gruaz. After Cal Poly drew even with a win on court two, Jessica Perez and Elvira Juravliova defeated Dane Joubert and Zoe Oedekerk, 7-5, on court one to claim the point.

Andrea Crespo had a perfect day in singles competition, posting a 6-0, 6-0 win over Abigail Bacharach on court three. It was nearly as impressive on court two for Kristine Kouyoumjian, as the junior posted a 6-2, 6-0 win over Bacharach.

Romeka dispatched her opponent, Gruaz, by scores of 6-0, 6-4, on court five, while Juravliova notched a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Joubert on court four to extend her win streak to six. Playing at #1 singles, Perez defeated Zoe Oedekerk, 6-3, 6-1, to win her fourth straight match.

LMU will return to action on Saturday when it travels to PCH-Cup rival Pepperdine at 11 a.m.
