A trio of Lion singles players locked up victories over Harvard on Wednesday from the LMU Tennis Center, but the Crimson (8-6) recorded a 4-3 victory over LMU (4-7) after taking the doubles point.

Anna Romeka and Tatijana Sheikhan recorded the victory on court three of doubles, 6-2, but Harvard's top-two pairs also managed victories to earn the doubles point and a 1-0 lead in the match score.

The Crimson were on pace to sweeping the match, earning the first three decisions in singles play to claim victory, but LMU played tough with the match already decided. Andrea Crespo wast first to record a win for LMU, topping Erica Oosterhout, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4, on court three.

Playing in the top spot of the order, Jessica Perez earned a hard-fought three-set win over June Lee, 7-5, 4-6, 6-2. Freshman Elvira Juravliova was the final Lion to post a victory, defeating Annika Ringblom, 7-6 (4), 1-6, 6-3 on court four. Juravliova has now won five straight matches, while Perez recorded her third consecutive victory.

LMU will return to action on March 24 when it hosts Cal Poly at 1:30 p.m.
