INSIDE THE LIONS
• The Lions dropped a 68-41 decision at Santa Clara on Thursday.
• Freshman Andee Velasco had seven assists on Thursday at Santa Clara, bringing her season total to 105. That mark eclipses the LMU rookie single-season record of 99, set by Marlee Webb in 1992-93 -- three years before Velasco was born. Her season total also ranks 10th in LMU's single-season record book.
• LMU wrapped up play at home with a 5-8 record for 2015-16.
• The Lions dropped their final home game, 91-81, to Saint Mary's on Feb. 13.
• The Lions earned their first win streak of the season with back-to-back WCC wins over Portland (Feb. 6) and Pacific (Feb. 11).
• A 96-88 win over Pacific on Feb. 11 gave the Lions a season sweep of the Tigers. LMU won 63-60 on a buzzer-beating three by Leslie Lopez-Wood in Stockton on Jan. 9.
• LMU's 96-point effort in the double-overtime win over the Tigers is the fourth most points scored in program history.
• Senior Deanna Johnson became the Lions' 14th player all-time to reach the 1,000-point marker with her eighth point scored in LMU's win over Pacific on Feb. 11. She finished the night with 22 points. In games through Feb. 18, she now has 1,042 points for her career.
• The 96-88 win over Pacific marked the first time this season that LMU has won while allowing its opponent more than 70 points. The Lions are 7-3 when holding teams below the 70-point marker and now 1-15 when opponents have scored more than 70 points.
• Sophie Taylor collected her eighth double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 boards versus Pacific on Feb. 11. The senior guard/forward combo ranks third in the WCC in double-doubles.
• Four Lions are averaging double figures including Sophie Taylor (12.3 ppg), Cheyanne Wallace (11.1 ppg), Deanna Johnson (10.8 ppg) and Leslie Lopez-Wood (10.2 ppg).

ABOUT THE SAN FRANCISCO (16-10, 7-8 WCC)
San Francisco had its highest scoring output of the season Thursday in a 99-75 win over Pepperdine. The Dons have now won two straight and are 16-10 overall and 7-8 in WCC play. Rachel Howard had a game-high 29 points in the win over the Waves as USF shot a collective 57 percent from the field for the game. Taylor Proctor, last week's WCC Player of the Week, leads the Dons with 17.9 ppg and 8.2 rpg. Zhane Dikes averages 13.9 ppg and Howard is the Dons' third player averaging double figures at 11.6 ppg. USF shoots 43 percent from the field and nearly 37 percent from three while holding opponents to 39 percent from the field and 35 percent from beyond the arc.

SERIES HISTORY
The all-time series between LMU and USF is nearly dead even with the Dons holding a slight 37-33 edge. The Lions won five straight in 2012 and 2013, but the six most recent meetings have gone to the Dons. LMU's last win in the series was a 75-53 final in the first round of the WCC Tournament on Mar. 7, 2013. In the first meeting of this season, USF hung on for a 75-73 overtime win in Gersten Pavilion. LMU overcame a slow start to rally late and force overtime. Sophie Taylor hit a pair of free throws with one second remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime. USF scored first in the extra period and never trailed.

AMONG THE WCC RANKS
In West Coast Conference games played through Feb. 18, LMU ranks first in blocks per game (4.4), third in 3-pt FGs per game (6.6), third in assists per game (14.7), fourth in steals per game (8.9) and fifth in rebounds per game (39.5). Individually, Cheyanne Wallace ranks first the league in blocked shots (2.0 per game) while Deanna Johnson is second in free-throw percentage (87.6). Bree Alford is tied for third in rebounding (8.4 per game) and third in field goal percentage (.494), Sophie Taylor is fifth in rebounding (8.3 per game) and Andee Velasco is fourth in assists (4.0 per game).
