TUCSON, Ariz. - LMU men's golf will open its spring season on Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 26-27 at the 2015 Arizona Intercollegiate at Sewailo Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz.

Competing alongside the Lions and host Arizona Wildcats in the tournament are No. 29 Arizona State, BYU, No. 21 California, Cal State Fullerton, Delaware, No. 43 Iowa State, McNeese State, No. 20 New Mexico, No. 48 New Mexico State, Pacific, Pepperdine, Seattle, and UTEP.
The 2015 Arizona Intercollegiate tournament will commence with two rounds (36 holes) of play on Monday and culminate with a final round (18 holes) on Tuesday, with an 8:00 A.M. MST shotgun start each day. The 15 teams will be hosted at the Sewailo Golf Club, a course that recently opened in 2013. There are 7,262 yards of play on the par-71 course.
Each team qualifies five golfers for a spot in the tournament, and when play finishes, the four best scores after each round will be counted towards the team score.
The Lion's roster for the tournament consists of junior Connor Campbell, sophomore Blake Meek, junior Braden Baer, junior Chase Nicolai and making his first appearance since transferring to the Lions a year ago is redshirt freshman Nick Jan.
Nicolai led the Lions in the fall, shooting a 73.75 average in three tournaments to end 2014. Campbell and Baer where the only other Lions to play in all three fall tournaments and they posted averages of 74.0 and 75.8, respectively.

Designed by PGA Tour standout Notah Begay III, Sewailo is a challenging course that will measure 7,262 yards for the Arizona Intercollegiate. The course is managed by Troon Golf, a Scottsdale-based golf management company, which oversees properties in 29 states and 26 countries.
