LOS ANGELES - A three-game road trip will conclude on Sunday, Sept. 7 as the LMU women's soccer team travels to UC Santa Barbara for a 6 p.m. kick off Meredith Field at Harder Stadium.
The Lions enter the week with a 2-1-1 record. After opening the season with back-to-back wins at home, LMU went on the road for a pair of games at Pac-12 members Oregon State and Oregon. Against the Beavers, the Lions earned a 27-14 shot advantage, but were forced to settled for a scoreless draw after OSU goalkeeper Bella Geist came up with 14 saves. LMU's first setback of the young season came on Sunday when the Ducks netted a goal in the 84th minute and held on for a 1-0 win.
The Lions have outscored opponents 5-2 thus far and have tallied a pair of shutouts. They also hold a collective 68-35 shot advantage over their four opponents.
UC Santa Barbara sits a 2-2-1 entering Sunday's match. The Gauchos opened the season with shutout wins over Cleveland State and Southern Utah, then fell 2-0 to Dayton and earned a 2-2 draw at Cincinnati. On Thursday, UCSB fell 2-0 at Stanford.

• Junior midfielder Jocelyn Blankenship was named to the 2014 All-WCC Preseason Team
• Callie Taylor earned the first WCC Player of the Week honor for 2014 after scoring back-to-back game winning goals against New Mexico State and Cleveland State

SERIES HISTORY VS UC SANTA BARBARA
The Lions and Gauchos have met nine times in program history with LMU holding a 5-2-2 all-time advantage. LMU won four straight from 1995-99 and were unbeaten by the Gauchos through 2006 before UCSB took a 1-0 victory in 2007. The teams rekindled the rivalry in 2013 with the Lions claiming a 1-0 double-overtime win courtesy a Jenni Benger header off a Jocelyn Blankenship corner kick.
