2014 Volleyball All-Academic Team

LMU volleyball redshirt-junior Amber Mirabello was named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic team, it was announced by the Conference office on Wednesday. The All-Academic selection is the second in as many years for Mirabello after earning an honorable mention nod last year.

Mirabello, a native of Palm Harbor, Fla., owns a 3.40 cumulative GPA as a studio arts major. With the 2014 NCAA Tournament beginning on Friday, Mirabello has appeared in every set for the Lions so far this year, including starting all 30 matches. She has accumulated 209 kills while hitting .229. A force on the block, she has also managed 72 total blocks at a rate of .66 per set.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
