LOS ANGELES - Craig Nitti and Adrien Perez were named to the 2014 All-West Coast Conference First Team to highlight seven total Lions honored by the league Tuesday.

This marks the second straight First Team honors for both Nitti, a redshirt senior defender, and Perez, a sophomore midfielder. Nitti also earned Honorable Mention honors during his sophomore season. The central defender anchored the LMU back line to nine shutouts and a 0.68 GAA for the season, including four shutouts and just four goals allowed in WCC play. He also supplied key offense, finishing with five goals and one assist for 11 points.

Perez, forced to become more of a playmaker this fall due to the absence of John McFarlin in the midfield, still found his own, finishing with five goals and a team-high seven assists.

Sebastian De Rada was named to the 2014 All-WCC Second Team, the second straight such honor for the senior striker. De Rada wrapped up his final season in a Lion kit by leading the team in goals (six) while also adding five assists for a team-high 17 points.

Four Lions earned Honorable Mention honors including freshman midfielder Alvaro Madrigal, senior defender Jack McCracken, junior goalkeeper Vince Paldino and junior midfielder Leon Prikhodovskiy. Madrigal was also named to the All-Freshman Team.

LMU went unbeaten in six of their seven WCC matches this fall, but that mark would include three draws as they settled for a 3-1-3 league mark, good for fourth place. The Lions' nine shutouts tied the all-time program record which was set in 2002 while the four losses also tied the program low (also set in 1980, 2002 and 2013).
