LOS ANGELES - Today's feature future Lion of the eight member 2013 women's soccer recruiting class is Sydney Zuccolotto, a forward/midfielder from Dana Hills, Calif. Zuccolotto was a key offensive threat as a member of the Dana Hills High School squad. She led her high school team to a South Coast League title in her senior year and was named to the OC Varsity All-Area second team and South Coast League first team.
"Zucc can play anywhere on the field and is known for her physical prowess and dominance in the air as well as her ability to score goals in a variety of different situations," LMU Head Coach Michelle Myers said. "She is a force to be reckoned with no matter where she plays and we are excited that she will be wearing a Lion uniform in the fall. Whether she is in the midfield, up front or in the back, opponents will remember who Zucc is and worry about her ability to score goals both on set pieces and in the run of play with the physical nature of her game."
In addition to her high school prowess, Zuccolotto is also a member of the So Cal Blues Soccer Club (currently the #3 ranked team in the nation according to Got Soccer and the #1 ranked team in Southern California). Zuccolotto is the #13 ranked player in Southern California in the class of 2013 according to Top Drawer Soccer and is a member of the ESPN HS Top 150 players in the country in the class of 2013. Zuccolotto has also played on the Cal South ODP and Region IV Regional Teams.
