2011 All-WCC Complete Release

LOS ANGELES - A pair of Lions were honored Tuesday as the West Coast Conference released its 2011 women's soccer All-WCC teams as selected by the league's nine head coaches. Sophomore defender Etajha Gilmer was named to the All-WCC second team while sophomore forward Tawni Martino earned honorable mention honors.

Gilmer, an All-WCC honorable mention and Freshman Team selection in 2010, was once again a staple on the LMU line of defense this fall helping the team to eight shutouts. She started all 20 games and led the team in minutes (1,831), playing all but 47. She found the back of the net twice and also added one assist for five points.

Martino also earns All-WCC honors for a second straight season. She was a first team selection and All-Freshman Team pick after a breakout rookie season in which she tallied 10 goals. This fall, Martino once again led the Lions with four goals and two assists for 10 points.

LMU closed out the 2011 season with a 7-10-3 overall record.
