LAKESIDE, Calif. -- The LMU men's golf team finished in 14th place at the 2010 Barona Collegiate Cup at the Barona Creek Golf Club in Lakeside, Calif., on Friday afternoon. Freshman Bryan Bergna led the Lions, placing in a tie for 17th out of 104 golfers in the final tune-up before the 2010 West Coast Conference Championships.

Bergna finished with a final round 75 on the par-72 course. He finished with a three-round 219 for the top-20 finish. Sophomore Jake Sarnoff finished with the Lions' best round on the day, hitting a 74 to finish in a tie for 28th. He finishes with a three-round 221.

Rounding out the Lions' scores was Blake Nicolai with a 237, John Lim with a 238, Andrew Waldron at 241 and Boris Stantchev at 248.

LMU heads to the WCC Championships at Hiddenbrooke Golf Course in Vallejo, Calif., on April 19-20.
