COLUMBUS, Ohio – LMU men's golf shot 9-under on Sunday, saving their best round for last, to close out the Robert Kepler Invitational. The Lions shot 3-under for the tournament to tie for sixth in the 16-team field.
LMU was one of just three schools to shoot under 280 in the final round, finishing at 294-288-279—861. Over the course of three rounds, the 279 was the fourth best round of any team throughout the tournament.
Nateesh Anatha Ganesh shot under par in all three rounds to finish at 71-71-67—209. Anatha Ganesh totaled six birdies on Sunday to tie for fourth overall in the 84-player field.
Also finishing with his best round,
Trevor Algya shot 72-72-68—212 to tie for 14
th. Algya added six birdies as well in his final 18 holes to finish with a team high 14 birdies over the three rounds.
Pablo Garcia Terol lowered his score after each round to place in a tie for 44
th at 76-72-70—218. Garcia Terol sunk an eagle on eight in his penultimate hole of the event.
Adam Pedersen closed out the scoring for the Lions with his 75-73-74—222. Pedersen recorded an eagle for the second time this weekend with his three on 15.
Louie Liu shot a 77-78-77—231.
The Lions will next compete at the WCC Championships held at Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, Calif. The conference tournament will run from May 1-3.
