LMU Hosts UCLA At Home Depot Center

LOS ANGELES, Calif.- The Loyola Marymount men's soccer team will host UCLA at the Home Depot Center this Sunday at 1:00pm. The Home Depot Center is the site of the 2004 NCAA College Cup in December, hosted by UCLA, and this game is just the second college game to be played at the facility.

Ticket Information: Tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster, at the Home Depot Box Office (walk up only), or from the LMU Ticket Office at (310) 338-6095. Tickets will be $6 for adults, and $4 for college students with ID, seniors and children. LMU students, faculty, and staff will be allowed into the game by showing their One Card Student or Faculty/Staff ID Card at the ticket booth at Home Depot Center. The Home Depot Box office will open at 10am on Sunday, and the gates will open at 12:00pm.

Student Bus to Home Depot Center: There will be a bus to transport LMU students to the game, leaving campus at noon on Sunday. Lion Pride members are free, and all other students will be $5. Please contact the LMU Athletics Ticket Office at (310) 338-6095 to reserve your spot on the bus.

A Chance to watch the future stars of the MLS: LMU and UCLA provide a training ground for MLS players. Former Lions Arturo Torres and Michael Erush are currently playing in the MLS. LMU Head Coach Paul Krumpe coached several current MLS players while he was a coach at UCLA including Sasha Victorine, Pete Vagenas and Kevin Hartman.

About the Home Depot Center: The Home Depot Center, located on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills, is the home of the Los Angeles Galaxy and is the best in amateur, professional and Olympic sports training and competition and outdoor concerts. The complex, developed by AEG at a cost of $150 million - the largest ever private investment in amateur athletics - has been designated an official U.S. Olympic Training Site by the United States Olympic Committee. The Home Depot Center includes a 27,000-seat stadium for soccer and concerts, a 13,000-seat tennis stadium, a 20,000-seat track & facility, The ADT Event Center (a 2,500-seat indoor velodrome currently under construction) and other facilities for softball, baseball and action sports among others. The U.S. Soccer Federation, USA Track & Field, USA Cycling, AVP and the USTA have all chosen to base national training programs at The Home Depot Center which hosted the finals of the 2003 Women's World Cup.

2004 NCAA College Cup At The Home Depot Center: UCLA will play host to the NCAA College Cup at The Home Depot Center on Dec. 10 and 12, 2004.
