Los Angeles, Calif., - Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002 - Loyola Marymount University senior Myka Peck was honored as the West Coast Conference's women's soccer Player of the Week as announced today by the conference. Peck and co-honoree Ali Pavoni from Pepperdine are the first two award recipients of the 2002 season.
Peck netted two goals to lead the Lions to victory over San Jose State last Saturday afternoon. She has now moved into sixth place in the LMU record books for career points with 30. Pavoni scored two goals in the span of a minute to lead the No. 20 Waves to a 4-1 win over Long Beach State on Sunday.
The Lions return to action on Sunday, Sept. 8 when they host Loyola-Chicago at 1 p.m. on Sullivan Field.
