LOS ANGELES, CA - LMU Women's Volleyball enters the 2026 season with an exciting mix of returning contributors and talented newcomers as the Lions prepare for the start of another West Coast Conference campaign.

The roster features seven returning players from last season alongside seven new additions, including four transfers and three freshmen. With experience returning at every position and an influx of high-level collegiate and international talent, LMU looks to build momentum heading into the fall.

#1 Ayanna Henry | Outside Hitter | Freshman
Henry begins her collegiate career after starring at McKinney High School in Texas. A versatile outside hitter, she developed into a reliable six-rotation player capable of making an impact both offensively and defensively.

#3 Mariana Simão | Middle Blocker | Sophomore
After seeing action in 10 matches as a freshman, Simão returns following an encouraging first season with the Lions. The Brazilian middle totaled 28 kills and 40 total blocks while producing several strong performances late in the season, including an 11-block effort against Santa Clara.

#4 Gianna Perez | Libero/Defensive Specialist | Junior
Perez joins LMU following two seasons at California Baptist, where she emerged as one of the Lancers' top defensive players. She led the team with 237 digs during her sophomore season and owns the program's NCAA-era freshman single-match service ace record after recording seven aces against Utah Valley.

#5 Maria Tabacuks | Outside Hitter | Sophomore
A transfer from Oregon, Tabacuks brings impressive international experience to the Bluff. She represented Germany at the 2025 FIVB U19 World Championships, finishing among the tournament leaders with 104 kills while ranking 12th overall in scoring. She also earned a spot on Germany's preliminary Volleyball Nations League roster.

#6 Delfina Schuh | Setter | Junior
Schuh returns after serving as LMU's primary setter throughout the 2025 season. She started all 27 matches, finishing fifth in the WCC with 7.07 assists per set while adding 327 digs and leading the team with 17 double-doubles.

#10 Camille Pomeroy | Middle Blocker | Junior
Entering her third season as a Lion, Pomeroy appeared in 20 matches during 2025 and continued to provide a strong presence at the net. She recorded 60 total blocks and contributed several key defensive performances throughout conference play.

#11 Zaria Thornton | Middle Blocker | Junior
Thornton returns after appearing in 12 matches during her first season at LMU. She totaled 22 kills and 18 total blocks while showing her potential as an effective middle blocker on both sides of the net.

#13 Gabriella Cascione | Libero | Sophomore
Cascione gained valuable experience as a freshman, appearing in 20 matches as a defensive specialist. She finished with 70 digs and nine service aces, highlighted by a season-high 13 digs against Santa Clara.

#20 Anya Santrac | Outside Hitter | Sophomore
Santrac comes to LMU after spending her freshman season at Wake Forest. The Belgrade, Serbia, native gained ACC experience while also competing internationally, bringing valuable experience and depth to the Lions' outside hitter group.

#21 Amanda Mikuzis | Middle Blocker | Freshman
Mikuzis arrives from Glenbrook South High School in Illinois after helping lead her program to multiple conference and regional championships. One of the top middle blockers in her conference, she brings size and a strong defensive presence to LMU.

#22 Kayla Lopez | Libero | Senior
Lopez enters her fourth season with the Lions after appearing in every match during 2025. A dependable defensive specialist, she recorded 30 service aces while continuing to provide veteran leadership in LMU's back row.

#23 Nicole Schuetz | Outside Hitter | Sophomore
One of LMU's top returning offensive threats, Schuetz played in all 27 matches as a freshman. She finished third on the team with 138 kills while leading the Lions with 78 total blocks, establishing herself as one of the conference's promising young front-row players.

#24 Kyla Firestone | Setter | Junior
Firestone returns after serving as LMU's primary secondary setter throughout the 2025 season. She finished second on the team with 127 assists while providing consistency in the Lions' 6-2 offensive system.

#25 Leah Burrell | Opposite | Senior
Burrell enters her senior campaign after contributing valuable depth during the 2025 season. She totaled 42 kills and 20 total blocks, highlighted by an 11-kill performance in LMU's victory over Seattle U.

#28 Aleksandra Stojanovic | Middle Blocker | Junior
Stojanovic arrives from Iowa after starting all 30 matches for the Hawkeyes last season. She led the team with a .370 hitting percentage while totaling 161 kills, 88 blocks, and 19 service aces. Her accomplishments also earned Academic All-Big Ten and CSC Academic All-District honors.

Melania Katsitadze | Outside Hitter | Freshman
Katsitadze rounds out LMU's incoming class after joining the Lions from Tbilisi, Georgia. The freshman outside hitter brings international experience and adds another talented attacking option as she begins her collegiate career.

The Lions will open the 2026 season later this month as they look to blend experienced leadership with an exciting group of newcomers in pursuit of success in the West Coast Conference.
