Brylee Kelly Joins LMU Women's Volleyball Coaching Staff

LOS ANGELES, CA - LMU women's volleyball head coach Kolby O'Donnell has announced the addition of Brylee Kelly to the program's coaching staff as an Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator ahead of the 2026 season.

Kelly arrives at LMU after coaching stops at Utah State University, California Baptist University, and Liberty University, bringing experience in player development, recruiting, scouting, and offensive systems.

Most recently, Kelly served as Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Utah State, where she directed all aspects of the recruiting process, including talent identification, evaluation, relationship building, campus visits, and NCAA compliance. She also worked closely with the Aggies' pin hitters and liberos through individual training sessions and film analysis.

Prior to Utah State, Kelly spent the 2025 season at California Baptist University, serving as the lead coach for the Lancers' outside hitters and liberos. In addition to overseeing player development, she played a key role in recruiting efforts and offensive scouting. Under her guidance, Emery DeJong earned First Team All-WAC honors.

Kelly also coached at Liberty University, where she worked primarily with the Flames' outside hitters and middle blockers while contributing to offensive scouting and game-planning.

Before beginning her coaching career, Kelly enjoyed one of the most decorated playing careers in Wichita State volleyball history. A six-year member of the Shockers program, she finished her career among the top 10 in school history in kills and became the first Wichita State student-athlete to be named American Athletic Conference Preseason Player of the Year.

Kelly earned First Team All-Conference honors twice during her collegiate career and still holds the Wichita State record for kills in a four-set match with 29. Her 29-kill performance in a five-set match ranks second in program history.

At LMU, Kelly will serve as the program's recruiting coordinator while overseeing the development of the Lions' pin attackers and liberos.

Kelly joins an LMU program preparing for the 2026 season as the Lions continue building for success both on the court and on the recruiting trail.
