LOS ANGELES – Following a three-year stint at Jacksonville University, Donovan Rivers has signed to play his senior season at LMU. Rivers played 96 career games for the Dolphins and is coming off his best collegiate season yet. In each of his three seasons, Rivers has shot 52 percent the field or better and is a career 54.7 percent shooter.
Last year at Jacksonville, Rivers averaged over 20 minutes an outing and started 28 of 32 games. As a junior, Rivers scored 8.6 points per game, grabbed 4.6 rebounds per game, and dished out 0.6 assists per game, all career highs. The 6-9 forward ranked 24
th in the Atlantic Sun Conference in rebounding.
The Columbia, S.C., native attended Ridge View High School, where he helped the program win its first state championship in school history in 2022, when it captured the Class 5A championship. Rivers finished his prep career at The Skill Factory Academy.
Rivers is the seventh transfer to sign with Coach
Stan Johnson this spring, joining Zion Sensley, Mazi Mosley, Andy Sigiscar, All Wright, Christian Humphrey-Rembert, and Jasai Miles.
