LOS ANGELES – LMU continues to bolster its 2026-27 roster with the signing of Zamir Paschal out of Portland, Ore. Paschal is an incoming freshman from Cathedral Catholic High School and is the top-ranked player in the state of Oregon according to 24-7 Sports and Rivals.
 
Paschal's game is highlighted by his speed and ability to push in transition to finish at the rim or get his teammates open looks. Paschal also is a proven scorer in the halfcourt with strong ball-handling skills and leadership. A smart defender, Paschal has proven his ability to perform on both ends of the courts.
 
In the 6A state semifinal win against Jesuit, Paschal scored 19 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter and finished perfect from the floor going 7-for-7.
 
Pachal joins Abdoul Bare, who signed earlier in the day, and JJ Harris, a fall signee, as the second freshman to the class. Head Coach Stan has also added seven college transfers to the roster already this spring as well.
