Schnack Earns WCC Freshman of the Week Honors for Second Straight Week

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - LMU women's tennis freshman Helene Schnack has been named West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week for the second consecutive week and third time this season, the conference announced today.

Schnack continued her impressive rookie campaign with another standout performance in LMU's 6-1 victory over Santa Clara. Competing in both doubles and singles, she played a key role in the Lions' success from start to finish. In doubles action, Schnack paired with Kim-Michaela Zahraj to secure a 7-5 victory at the No. 2 position, helping LMU clinch the doubles point and take early control of the match.

In singles, Schnack was dominant at the No. 5 spot, becoming the first Lion off the court with a commanding 6-1, 6-1 victory. Her decisive win sparked LMU's momentum in singles play and set the tone for the remainder of the lineup as the Lions went on to win five of six singles matches.

This marks Schnack's second straight Freshman of the Week honor and her third recognition this season, further solidifying her as one of the top newcomers in the conference. Her consistent performances, composure, and ability to deliver in key moments have made her an integral part of LMU's lineup.
