PAUMA VALLEY, Calif. – LMU men's golf improved their positioning on Tuesday following a 6-under second round. The Lions jumped four teams to move into 11
th place in the field.
Three Lions shot under par on the day to move LMU to 293-278—571, and three strokes off even for the event. With the strong play from the round, LMU is a stroke ahead of #2 Virginia and five strokes up on #28 San Diego State.
Pablo Garcia Terol has been the most consistent Lion through two days, shooting par then under par for his 71-70—141. Garcia Terol moved into a tie for 20
th following his round.
Trevor Algya and
Louie Liu are tied once again after each posting identical 74-68—142 rounds. Liu posted eight birdies on Tuesday, while Algya added four of his own.
Nateesh Anatha Ganesh scored for the Lions with his 74-72—146.
Closing out the LMU five,
Jackson McLaughlin shot 76-79—155.
Competing as individuals
Daniel Bullen (77-72—149),
David Gutierrez (77-74—151), and
Adam Pedersen (79-74—153) all took multiple strokes off their opening round scores, with Bullen and Pedersen each improving by five strokes apiece.
The final round will begin with the individuals before the team begins play. The first tee time is scheduled for 8:00 AM.
