Lambert Named WCC Player of the Week Following .733 Performance

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - After a remarkable week at the plate and on the basepaths, Loyola Marymount junior Justine Lambert has been named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Lambert powered the Lions' offense across five games, batting an impressive .733 (11-for-15) while scoring four runs and driving in another. The junior utility player was nearly impossible to retire throughout the week, reaching base in the majority of her plate appearances and not striking out once.

Her speed on the basepaths also played a major role in LMU's offensive production, as Lambert swiped five stolen bases during the week, consistently putting herself into scoring position and applying pressure on opposing defenses.

Lambert's impact extended beyond the batter's box as well. Defensively, she recorded 21 total chances, finishing with 15 assists and four putouts while helping turn a double play.

The honor recognizes one of the most efficient offensive weeks of the season for the Lions, as Lambert's combination of contact hitting and aggressive baserunning helped fuel LMU throughout the week.

Lambert and the Lions will look to carry that momentum forward as LMU moves closer to West Coast Conference play later this month.
