LOS ANGELES — The West Coast Conference released its 2026 Women's Tennis Preseason Poll on Tuesday, with Loyola Marymount earning a fourth-place selection heading into the spring.
Pepperdine was picked to repeat atop the league standings after collecting 80 points and eight first-place votes, followed by San Diego (74 points, two first-place votes) and Washington State (65 points). LMU slotted in at No. 4 with 54 points, rounding out the top half of the poll.
Gonzaga (44), Saint Mary's (40), Portland (33), Santa Clara (32), Pacific (17), and Seattle U (11) completed the preseason rankings.
The Lions enter the 2026 season with three returning players from last year's squad, setting the stage for a mix of experience and new contributions as conference play approaches. Despite a limited number of returners, LMU looks to build off a competitive 2025 campaign that saw the team post a 5–3 WCC record and finish among the league's top contenders.
LMU will open the 2026 season on Jan. 13 with a road matchup at USC, before returning to the LMU Tennis Center later in the month as the spring slate gets underway.
