LOS ANGELES – The LMU women's tennis team showed depth and resilience in a 4–0 loss to No. 19 USC on Tuesday afternoon at Marks Tennis Stadium, picking up a doubles victory and competing tightly across the singles lineup against one of the nation's top programs.

The Lions opened the match with a strong showing in doubles play. Anastasia Bozova and Ada Piestrzynska earned a 6–4 victory at No. 2 doubles, defeating the 51st-ranked USC pairing of Jana Hossam and Krisha Mahendran. The win gave LMU momentum in doubles play, but USC secured the doubles point with a 6–4 victory on court one after the point was decided.
LMU carried that fight into singles play, pushing the Trojans in several matches across the lineup.

USC earned its second point on court four, where the 62nd-ranked Eugenia Zozaya defeated Bozova in straight sets. The Trojans added another point at No. 2 singles as the 95th-ranked Immi Haddad picked up a straight-sets win over Sofia Perovani.

At the top of the lineup, Lidia Gonzalez faced the 16th-ranked Jana Hossam and stayed within striking distance before USC clinched the match on court one.

Several Lions were locked in competitive battles when play was halted. Ada Piestrzynska had pushed her match to a third set on court three, while Kim-Michaela Zahraj and Camilia Samel-Druz were also engaged in tightly contested matches on courts five and six before the match was decided.
