Serving Up Bagels: Lions Dominate Seattle U in 7-0 Sweep

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The LMU women's tennis team capped off the weekend in dominant fashion on Sunday, sweeping Seattle U, 7-0, at the LMU Tennis Center.

The Lions wasted no time setting the tone, claiming the doubles point with decisive wins on courts two and three. Kim-Michaela Zahraj and Helene Schnack rolled to a 6-1 victory at the No. 2 position, while Lidia Gonzalez and Camilia Samel-Druz followed with a 6-3 win on court three to secure the early 1-0 lead. The top court pairing of Anastasia Bozova and Ada Piestrzynska held a 6-5 advantage before their match went unfinished.

In singles, LMU continued its commanding performance, sweeping all six courts in straight sets and serving up three bagels along the way, showcasing just how dominant the Lions were from top to bottom. Zahraj set the pace with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles, while Piestrzynska followed with a 6-3, 6-0 victory at the No. 2 spot.

The Lions kept rolling as Gonzalez secured a 6-3, 6-2 win at the top position and Bozova added a 6-3, 6-4 result at No. 4 singles. Schnack continued her strong weekend with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 5, and Samel-Druz capped off the sweep with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 6 – marking LMU's third 6-0 set of the day.

With the clean sweep, the Lions showcased their depth, control, and relentless energy, turning in one of its most complete performances of the season.
