LOS ANGELES— The LMU women's basketball program has upped its 2025–26 roster with the addition of transfer center Kayla Jones.

"Kayla is an incredible addition to our program," says Coach Aarika Hughes. "Kayla is one of the toughest, most competitive players we have watched all year.  She's an incredible connector, has the feel and understanding of what it takes to win, and has the competitive spirit to do whatever she requires.  She can shoot, has incredible footwork in the paint, is a high-level passer, and can defend multiple positions. We can't wait to welcome her to our program."

Jones joins the Lions from Grayson College in Texas, where she made an immediate impact over two seasons. The 6'0 Norman, Oklahoma native appeared in 61 games, starting 59, and scored a total of 954 points during her junior college career. As a freshman, she tallied 409 points while shooting 51.5% from the field, leading the team in both scoring and rebounding. These efforts earned her All-Conference recognition.

In her sophomore campaign, Jones started all 32 games and finished with 545 points. She also recorded 489 rebounds, 107 assists, 95 steals, and 44 blocks, showcasing her all-around game and leadership on both ends of the floor.

Before attending Grayson, Jones graduated from Norman High School after previously attending Moore High School.
