FAIRFIELD, Calif. – LMU men's golf shot 34-under over three rounds to advance from stroke play to match play at the 2025 West Coast Conference Championships. The Lions used 66 birdies to place second in the 10-team field and advance to Sunday's semifinal round.
As a team, the Lions shot double digits under par in each of the three rounds. LMU finished at 278-275-277—830, which was 12 strokes off #21 Pepperdine's lead and eight strokes ahead of #45 Santa Clara.
Senior
Cade Anderson set the tone with his 12-under performance. He tied for third overall with three identical rounds of 68-68-68—204 to finish three strokes off the lead.
Last year's WCC Freshman of the Year
Mason Snyder shot 71-67-71—209 to tie for 14
th overall.
Trevor Algya finished a stroke back and tied for 16
th with his 68-75-67—210.
Alejandro Alonso used his 71-69-73—212 to place in a tie for 23
rd in the field of 50.
Louie Liu closed out the LMU five with his career-best 2-under, 72-71-71—214.
Each player recorded between 12 and 14 birdies over the three rounds with Anderson and Algya leading the way with 14 apiece.
Teams will start at 7:30 a.m. off the 1st and 10th tees. LMU's semifinal tee times are listed below.
