PHOENIX, Ariz. –
Mason Snyder shot a season-best 10-under to tie for fourth overall in the 2025 Thunderbird Collegiate hosted by Arizona State. Snyder used 17 birdies to shoot 62-70-71—203.
After opening the event with a course record 9-under first round, Snyder sat in first place for much of the day Friday heading into Thursday. The sophomore's third round included three birdies in a four-hole span on 14, 16, and 17, and a final birdie on his last hole of the event on nine to bring himself back to even for the round.
Alejandro Alonso tied for 36
th with his 69-73-72.
After shooting under par in his final round,
Louie Liu tied for 42
nd at 71-74-70—215.
Trevor Algya (73-75-70—217) and
Cade Anderson (74-71-72—217) tied at 4-over par.
Competing as an individual,
Frank Vucic shot 72-74-77—223.
As a team, LMU finished 9-under par and in ninth place. The Lions collectively recorded two rounds under par and finished at 274-286-283—843. LMU's 60 combined birdies was tied for second-most of all teams.
The Lions will now compete in the 2025 WCC Championships. This year's conference tournament will be played April 25-27 from Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, Calif.
