LA QUINTA, Calif. – LMU men's golf jumped five positions as a team on Wednesday after shooting a collective 2-under par in the final round of The Prestige. LMU finished the three-day event in 13^th place out of 24 schools with a total score of 286-290-282—858. 
 
Of the 24 schools, 11 are ranked in the top 50 of the Scoreboard Rankings. At 6-over for the event, the Lions finished ahead of two of those ranked teams, #15 Pepperdine by a stroke and #35 Louisville by five strokes.

Alejandro Alonso led LMU at 5-under for the week to tie for 10^th. All three rounds for Alonso were under par with his 69-70-69—208. Alonso recorded 13 birdies on the week as well as an opening round eagle on 16.
 
Also finishing under par and with 13 birdies was Cade Anderson. The senior shot 70-69-73—209 to place in a tie for 12^th.
 
Mason Snyder shot his best round on Wednesday to move up 20 positions at 72-77-71—220.
 
Trevor Algya and Frank Vucic also saved their best rounds for last. Algya finished in the top 100 of the field at 80-74-71—225 and Vucic closed his first collegiate event at 75-83-71—107.
 
Collectively, LMU recorded 49 birdies.
 
Competing as an individual, Hogan Park earned a top 10 finish in the standalone individual Prestige event. That field featured 39 golfers with Park finishing tied for seventh at 4-over, 75-70-75—220.
 
LMU's next event is the Lamkin in Chula Vista, Calif., from Mar. 10-11, before playing in their hosted event at the Pauma Valley Invitational on Mar. 17 and 18.
