SAN DIEGO – The Lions defeated the No. 5 Saint Mary's Gaels in the opening round of the WCC tournament on Thursday afternoon, securing a 4-1 win. While the SMC claimed the doubles point, the LMU staged a comeback in singles, sweeping the Gaels to clinch the victory.
