EUGENE, Ore. – LMU's Mason Snyder shot the tournament's best round with his second-round 66 over the two-day Oregon Duck Invitational at Eugene Country Club. The freshman finished in a three-way tie for second after shooting 74-66-71—211.
 
In that 66 round on Monday afternoon, Snyder six of his tournament-best 15 birdies. Snyder finished four strokes back from the individual winner's 6-under.
 
Trevor Algya jumped 10 spots on the leaderboard with his best round on Tuesday. Algya shot 73-72-70—215.
 
Lewis also improved his placement by 10 spots between the end of Monday and the end of Tuesday. Lewis shot 72-77-72—221 over his 54 holes.
 
Caden McMackin saved his best round for last, finishing the event at 75-78-73—226.
 
Tony Hendricks only had his first and third event count, recording a 74 in both of those.
 
LMU's team score in Tuesday's final round was one stroke off the day's best at 2-over. The Lions shot 293-293-286—872 to take eighth place in the team leaderboard.
 
Led by Snider's 15 birdies and nine apiece from Lewis, McMackin, and Algya, the Lions led the event with 47 birdies over the two days.
 
LMU will next compete on April 8-9 at the UCSB Collegiate Invitational played at Sand Piper Golf Club.
