SEASIDE, Calif. – LMU men's golf shot their best round of the week to close out the Leadership and Golf Collegiate Championship played at Bayonet/Black Horse GCS. LMU used a final-round 3-under, 285 to jump two positions and place fourth in the 14-team event.
The Lions recorded the most par holes of any team with 178 and finished with the best stroke average of the field on Par 4s. LMU combined to total 40 birdies as well.
Cade Anderson recorded LMU's first top-3 finish of the year with his 4-under, 69-73-70—212. Anderson closed his event with four more birdies to bring his total to double-digits for the two rounds.
Joining Anderson in the top-10 is
Mason Snyder who tied for eighth with his 69-74-71—214.
Trevor Algya jumped up eight positions to tie for 31
st with his 75-74-72—221. Algya recorded three birdies a round for all three days.
Closing out the scoring for LMU,
Alejandro Alonso at 75-73-74—222.
Adam Miller shot his best round of the week with a 74-81-72—227.
The Lions will be back in less than a week with the team scheduled to compete Monday and Tuesday at The Preserve Golf Club Collegiate in Carmel, Calif.
