SEASIDE, Calif. – LMU men's golf is one of six teams to shoot under par in the opening round of the Leadership and Golf Collegiate Championship played at Bayonet/Black Horse GCS.
The Lions are in sixth in the field of 14 schools after opening the event at 1-under, 287.
LMU is led by a pair of 69 scores turned in by
Cade Anderson and
Mason Snyder. Both Lions shot 3-under after recording two birdies each on both the front and back nine to place fourth.
Adam Miller shot 2-over, 74 and
Trevor Algya used three birdies down the stretch to finish at 3-over, 75.
Alejandro Alonso also finished his day at 75.
Competing as an individual,
David Gutierrez used to birdies to finish at 74 on the Par 72 course.
The Lions will play the second round on Tuesday and begin teeing off in 12-minute increments from the first hole beginning at 9:08 AM.
