SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Sixth-ranked LMU beach volleyball responded after falling 4-1 to No. 4 Florida State with a 3-2 win over No. 19 Pepperdine. The Lions finished Cal Poly's Center of Effort Challenge in fifth place in a talented field of teams.
