Rosenthal and Pelloia Named First Team AVCA Collegiate Beach All-Americans

LOS ANGELES - LMU Beach Volleyball's All-American count has just increased by two as pair from Court 1, Tanon Rosenthal and Anna Pelloia, have each been named to the AVCA Collegiate Beach All-American First Team. The two LMU All-Americans were also named West Coast Conference Pair of the Year and to the All-WCC First Team after leading the Lions to a seventh-consecutive WCC Championship and a seven-seed in this weekend's NCAA Championships.

Rosenthal and Pelloia went 17-6 from the first position this season, including wins over pairs from NCAA Tournament teams in Grand Canyon, Long Beach State, Stetson, Texas, and USC. This is the first All-American honor for both players.

The duo are the 19th and 20th players to earn All-American status playing for the LMU Beach Volleyball program, and 11th and 12th Lions to earn First Team recognition. Seven-time WCC Coach of the Year John Mayer has coached every LMU All-American to date, with 16 of the 20 coming since he took over as head coach ahead of the 2016 season.

Rosenthal is in her second season at LMU from Mira Costa High School by way of Austin Texas. The sophomore's accolades include WCC Co-Freshman of the Year recognition, two-time All-WCC Beach Volleyball First Team selections, AVCA Top Flight in 2025, and NCAA All-Tournament Team in 2025.

Pelloia is a senior from Venice, Italy. In her three seasons playing with the Lions, is a three-time All-WCC Beach Volleyball First Team selection with an AVCA Top Flight Award in 2025, and has won 70 matches for LMU.

The pair will lead the Lions beginning Friday, May 1, at the 2026 NCAA Tournament. The opening round matchup against 10-seed TCU will be played at 2:00 PM CT / 12:00 PM PT and air on ESPN2.
