LOS ANGELES - LMU senior Cam Shelton has been named WCC Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Shelton put together a career-week for the Lions doing it all in back-to-back games. The senior captain scored a career-high 31 points in Thursday night's massive win over No. 15 Saint Mary's in an overtime performance for the ages. Shelton scored all 31 points after halftime including the game-tying shot in regulation to force overtime and 15 of the final 20 points of regulation and 11 of the 15 points of overtime to account for 26 of the final 35 points for the Lions. This is the first time in program history that LMU has wins over two top-15 programs in the same season, and first home win over a ranked team since 2011. Shelton followed up his win over the Gaels by setting yet another careeer-high on Saturday with 36 points against Santa Clara. Shelton shot 14-for-25 (56.0 percent) in the game, knocked in four threes, and was perfect from the free throw line against the Broncos. Over the course of the week, Shelton played 83 of LMU's possible 85 minutes, shot 51 percent from the floor and did not miss a free throw to average 33.5 points, 3.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals.

The Lions and Shelton will be home two final times this season. LMU hosts No. 13 Gonzaga on Thursday and then will celebrate Shelton and his senior teammates on Saturday ahead of the final home game of the season against Pacific.
