LOS ANGELES – The non-conference portion of the 2025-26 LMU Men's Basketball schedule is complete. The Lions will play nine of the team's 13 games ahead of conference play at home, plus the addition of an open exhibition game against USC at Gersten Pavilion on October 18 to kick off the season.
For the first time since 2005, the Trojans will be in Hank's House. This year the two Los Angeles schools will play the October exhibition in front of fans. The exhibition game is included in season ticket holder packages. Individual tickets for this game will be available for purchase at a later date.
The regular season opens the first week of November with three home games to start up the season. Competition begins on Monday, November 3 against Lincoln University. Eastern Washington comes to town two days later on Wednesday, November 5. Then the Lions will host Arkansas Pine Bluff on that Saturday, November 8, for the third home game of opening week.
LMU's first road game of the season will be played on the campus of UTEP in El Paso, Texas.
Following the trip to Texas, LMU will host Troy University, the Sun Belt Champions and an NCAA Tournament team from a season ago. That game will be a Friday night battle on November 14.
On November 17, the Lions will drive up the coast for a Monday night game at UC Santa Barbara.
This year's Multi-Team Event (MTE) will be the Sunshine Slam, which will be played Thanksgiving Week in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Lions will play two of the other teams in the Beach Bracket, which includes Florida Atlantic, George Mason, and Ohio. Coach
Stan Johnson has won two MTE Championships over the past three years after taking home trophies at the Jamaica Classic in 2022 and in last season's Cancun Challenge.
The format for the Sunshine Slam will consist of a semifinal round game on November 24 and a championship and consolation game the following day on November 25. Matchups and times will be announced at a later date. CBS Sports Network will air all four games in the Beach Bracket.
As part of the MTE, LMU will host Stony Brook of the Ocean Bracket, following the return from the event on November 28.
Fans will see the Lions at home four more times in the non-conference portion of the schedule, as the final four games before West Coast Conference play begins will all be played at Gersten Pavilion.
December 2 features a rematch from last year's trip to Saint Louis against the Billikens.
The second NCAA Tournament team from a year ago will play at Hank's House on December 16, as the Lions host UC San Diego.
The Atlantic Sun Co-Champions and NIT participants, North Alabama, will head to Los Angeles on December 19 for LMU's penultimate non-conference game.
Non-conference play will conclude on December 23 against Morgan State for a Tuesday afternoon game ahead of the holiday break.
The 2025-26 West Coast Conference game schedule will begin as early as Sunday, Dec. 28. Following the 10-week schedule, the Conference will host the Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Basketball Championship March 5-10, 2026, at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
With Seattle joining the West Coast Conference in 2025-26, and Oregon State and Washington State returning as affiliates this season, the league increased the number of teams from 11 to 12 in the process. Specific dates, tip times and TV selections for each contest will be announced at a later date.
Purchasing LMU season tickets is the best way to guarantee entry to all home games this season. Season tickets start at just $159, which translates to less than ten dollars per game.
