LA QUINTA, Calif. – LMU men's golf returned to action with the first round of play at The Prestige at GPA West. The Lions sit in 16
th after the first round on the 7,100-yard Greg Norman Course.
LMU shot an even 300 to place ahead of eight programs including No. 5 Pepperdine and No. 9 Stanford.
Gavin Cohen and
Riley Lewis tied for the team lead with 74 strokes apiece.
Tony Hendricks finished a stroke back with his 75.
Caden McMackin shot 77 and
Cameron Meeks closed out the five with his 81.
The tournament will continue Tuesday with the second round of action. The Lions will tee off from the first hole every 11 minutes beginning with
Caden McMackin at 7:40 am and closing with
Gavin Cohen at 8:20 am. LMU's five will be paired with the players from University of Denver and University of North Texas.
