LOS ANGELES – Graduate goalkeeper Amanda Delgado and freshman center back Alice Santen have been named to the All-WCC Team as honorable mentions.
Delgado, a transfer from CSUN, started every game in goal for the Lions. She began her career at LMU with four straight clean sheets and ended the season with six.
She recorded 75 saves over the course of the season for a 79.6 per cent save percentage, good for fourth best in the conference.
With eight games unbeaten to begin the season, Delgado helped the Lions record their longest unbeaten streak to open a season since 1998.
Santen, a transfer from Memphis, led the team in points from the back line.
She scored three times and assisted once and was the team's primary penalty kick taker, a testament to the coaches' confidence in her ability.
Santen was also a key cog in the Lions defense that only allowed three goals during that unbeaten streak at the beginning of the season.
