TUCSON, Ariz. – The LMU men's golf team earned a top-5 finish in the team's first competition of the spring season. The Lions shot 10-under, 283-280-291—854 to place fifth in the team competition.

Jason D'Amore. "We continue to move in the right direction, day after day."
Cameron Meeks led the Lions with a 71-69-71—211 performance. His 5-under tournament tied him for 14
th overall.
Finishing a stroke back,
Gavin Cohen tied for 21
st at 69-71-72—212.
Riley Lewis tied for 32
nd at 72-69-74—215 and
Tony Hendricks shot 71-71-75—217 to round out the scoring four for LMU.
Caden McMackin saved his best round for last with a 77-77-74—228.
LMU recorded 61 birdies and two eagles as a team. Meeks accounted for 17 of the birdies and one of the eagles himself.
The Lions will return to competition Feb. 21-23 at The Prestige in La Quinta.
