ALBUQUERQUE, NM – LMU's two individuals each opened the NCAA Albuquerque Regionals shooting 73 in the first round of play from UNM Championship Course. Of the five individuals in the field, the pair are each a stroke back of the leader, with the overall individual shooting a 6-under 66.
 
Gavin Cohen and Riley Lewis both recorded an eagle, with both capitalizing with a three on the Par 5, first hole.
 
Lewis opened the day with an eagle followed by four consecutive birdies to take an early lead in the 75-player field.
 
Cohen stayed between 2-under and 1-over the whole day, working back to even with a birdie on Hole 14.
 
Both Lions will tee off in the individual's group, paired with New Mexico State and Prairie View A&M on Tuesday morning to begin the second round. Cohen will be the 13^th player to tee off, beginning his round at 9:42 a.m. mountain time. Lewis will follow 11 minutes later.
