HENDERSON, NV – The second round of the West Coast Conference Championships featured several low scores, including LMU's 10-under, 278 performance. The Lions remain in fifth after two days with a 286-278-564.
The Lions recorded the second-most birdies, with 46, through two rounds, and lead the field with a 21-under stroke average on Par 5 holes.
Gavin Cohen is tied for fifth in the individual race for a conference title with a 66-71—137. Cohen is four-strokes off the lead heading into the final 18 holes on Saturday.
Looking for a top-ten finish of his own in his first WCC Championships,
Riley Lewis is tied for eight at 72-67—139.
Both Cohen and Lewis lead the team with 12 birdies apiece.
Caden McMackin took the biggest jump forward on Saturday, moving up 11 positions to tie for 29
th at 76-69—145.
Kyle Kinnane leaped five players and is tied for 32
nd with his 75-71—146.
Cameron Meeks is tied for 34
th at 73-74—147 to close out the LMU five.
The final round will be played on Saturday morning.
Cameron Meeks will tee off at 7:50 a.m. from the first hole, with his teammates following every 10 minutes after.
