EL MACERO, Calif. – The LMU men's golf team jumped another position on Monday to finish the El Macero Classic in ninth place out of 15. The Lions shot 1-over to close out the final round and finish at 298-285-289—872.
LMU was led by freshman
Riley Lewis, who finished in the top 10 for the fourth-consecutive tournament and fifth time this season. Lewis saved his best round for last and tied for eighth with a 73-71-67—211.
Gavin Cohen tied for 39
th with a 73-73-75—221.
Tying his Sunday output,
Cameron Meeks closed out with an 80-71-71—222 and tied with
Kyle Kinnane (75-70-77—222) to score for the Lions.
Caden McMackin closed out the LMU five with his 77-73-76—226.
Both Lewis and Meeks jumped 15 players on Monday.
The Lions will play in one final tournament this month before closing out the regular season at the WCC Championships. LMU will next compete at BYU's Cougar Classic, Apr. 23-24.
