'Ewa Beach, HI – LMU men's golf earned a second-place finish on Tuesday following three rounds of play at the Hoakalei CC Invitational. The Lions shot 287-282-290—859 to finish two strokes off the leaders San Diego and 11-strokes ahead of the third-place finishers, Louisiana.
LMU shot 164 par holes, tied for first in the 15-school field, and added 53 birdies and an eagle.
Tony Hendricks accounted for 15 of those birdies, which helped lead him to a second-place finish, his best in three tournaments with LMU this year. Hendricks shot 65-70-74—209, with his 7-under finish one stroke back from the tournament winner.
Also earning a top-10 finish is
Riley Lewis who tied for eighth overall with his 75-67-72—214.
Gavin Cohen tied for 12
th after shooting 74-70-72—214.
Caden McMacking rounded out the scoring four with his 75-75-72—222 to tie for 29
th.
Cameron Meeks shot a 73-75-75—223 to tie for 36
th.
As an individual
Ryder Henares placed in a tie for 60
th and shot 76-78-77—231.
The Lions will next compete at the Saint Mary's Invitational Nov. 8-10.
