SPOKANE, WA. – The Loyola Marymount University Lions women's rowing team competed in their first regatta of the Fall schedule at the Head of the Spokane on Saturday morning.
 
In the Lions first race of the day, the 1V8 boat finished with a time of 17:30 while the 2V8 boat posted a time of 17:42. The first Lion boat to cross came in at seventh place overall while the second posted a ninth place finish out of the 12 boats competing. 
 
In the second race, the Lions took second in the 2v8+ boat with a time of 18:23. The Lions also took second place in the 2V4 'A' with a time of 19:35. LMU's 2V4 'B' boat finished with a time of 19:44, good for fifth overall.
 
The Lions finish the fall slate with a scrimmage against UC Santa Barbara on Saturday, November 6th before taking a break before the spring season begins in February.
